Blackout -the game- is still running smoothly, and in addition to my other items, (see previous news posts) I've added poison saws. Now, in the game, I've been thinking about having a boss every ten screens, but I'm wondering if it should be more. After all, it usually only takes 3-10 seconds to get through a screen. That's why I'm asking you, the people on NG, for your advice. Not that I'll take it, but it could make up my mind a little more.

Also, still no one has given me any graffiti. I guess I'll just post this link in every one of my Blackout -the game- news posts. http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/75 4368 I don't really need any graffiti, but if anyone wants to, I'd be happy to include it in my game. ;) Well, that's all for now. More posts later! XD

Blackout -the game- advice and info

Blackout -the game- is definitely looking up. My first attempt at a Blackout game was a failure, and I had thought I wouldn't return to it. Then I started making a new Blackout game, and was happy with the results. There were a few problems that almost made me give up on it, but I haven't, and it's looking good.

Blackout the game is not exactly what you would call a "side scrolling game," but it comes close. You start at the left side of the screen, and move over to the right. When you get all the way to the right, you're at the left of a new screen. I know, really original, right? But just because something's not original doesn't mean it isn't good.

So far I have a menu, a short cut scene, and about 6 screens of gameplay. I've made swinging saws, shooting robots, a bottomless pit, and a spike trap. I don't really know how to explain it, but the picture at the bottom of the screen might give you the general idea. Also, I'm still happy to get some graffiti for the walls if anyone wants to give it to me. The link is http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/75 4368.

Also, if anyone was wondering, no, I'm not going to stop making Blackout 2, although at this rate, the game might be done before the animation is. Well, not much else to say. TTYL! ;)

Blackout -the game- (You can start getting your hopes up more now!)

For those of you who said Blackout should be made into a game, you'll be happy to know that I'm working on a Blackout game. So far, I've finished the menu, made the character, and started working on it. I'm also still working on Blackout 2. (I'm switching back and forth between the two.) Also, if anyone want's to add a little something to my game, follow this link. http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/75 4368. Well, wish me luck on the game and 2nd animation! See ya later! :)

For anyone that cares, blackout 2 is being worked on. The graphics have been improved quite a bit, and there is *gasp* a STORYLINE! YAAAAAAAAAAAY! Or boo. Depending on what type of person you are. For some reason, it's difficult for me to make "fast" action. But I haven't really made much action yet, only storyline and talking. There are a bunch of new characters. (Although so far only evil ones.) You'll be able to go through the text by pressing the spacebar, and... well... that's pretty much it so far. It isn't even close to done yet, so don't expect it for a while, but know that I AM working on it. For those of you that wanted a blackout game, don't get your hopes up, but I'll think about it. Well, gotta go. Leave a comment if you want. :) -Trekopep
